Gaining perspective

Well, this is all about majesty. You look up and wonder at the splendour, catching exquisite details as you look around, just as you would in a cathedral.

The interplay between shadow and light captures a wonderful palette of greens and yellows. The light on the right tree brings interest and relief. And up above, beyond the canopy of leaves, a beautiful day is in motion with cotton clouds gently blowing along a big blue sky.

Standing here at this moment provides perspective. It reminds me there’s so much more to whatever’s preoccupying my mind. There’s so much more to… everything. So don’t worry. Keep looking up.

Again in black and white:

I can’t say it’s doing a lot for me! It’s hard to distinguish where the sunlight is illuminating the leaves – the magisterial ceiling has been greyed-out and the mood has changed. It’s as if the trees now represent my preoccupations and my eye is drawn to the gap in the middle of the frame for relief or a way out.
