Ablaze in winter morning sun

Trees and heather ablaze with colour in the early morning winter sunshine on a beautiful clear day. Taken in Lyndhurst, New Forest.

This place was aglow with early morning sunshine – the golden long grass and bronze heather beautifully contrasted a clear blue sky. 

I don’t find these trees particularly attractive! But when it’s like this it doesn’t seem to matter what a tree looks like – I’m simply captivated by their radiance in the sunlight.
