Dewy wonder

It’s one of those moments that fills you with hope. The rising sun peeks above the low bank of cloud and casts its reassuring light. Silky silvery clouds reflect a warming glow over the cold earth as the dew lifts its veil.

I feel the cool air but it's good to be here as the day wakes up. Each morning brings the sense of a new beginning – especially mornings like this.

It’s a fleeting opportunity, this pause, this wonder. The misty dew will disappear like a whisper in the gentle wind, taking with it the element of mystique it brings to trees and hedges it enshrouds, leaving a somewhat flat and ordinary effect on the scene – leaving them to get on with their day and me with mine.

How can I remember it? How can I carry this wonder into my day?

I’ve added a slight vignette for effect.
