Standing in harmony

I arrived here just before sunrise, with the low bank of cloud on the horizon threatening to spoil it. Nevertheless, reassuring yellow and orange streaks appeared and I set to work taking shots. 

I liked the swoop and sway of this tree’s branches, giving a sense of elegance and flow – or harmony – somewhat in contrast to the prickly gorse beside it. And the finer details of the smaller branches and twigs, like arteries and capillaries in good working order. 

It was lovely to experience the early morning fog before it lifted, allowing the tree to stand out against its background – an exquisite show of nature’s gentler work.
