Cutting through the morning fog
I didn’t notice it at the time but those fallen branches have been worked on and organised. And I’m a bit distracted by how it all looks a bit clinical and slightly sinister, as if a hand has been chopped off with a set of scalpels all neatly lined-up! I wonder why they were left there.
At the time I was simply taken by the beams of sunlight in the dewy fog and how it seemed to highlight these two trees. They look like good friends mirroring each other. One is reaching out and the other is leaning in.
It was such a magical early morning. The fog seemed content to linger for quite some time while the trees enjoyed cutting the light into shafts.
I shared these magic moments with a few dog walkers who were out and about early, one of whom you can just about see down the track. We’d nod or greet each other, knowing how fortunate we were to be out here.
