Light and lines on a sunny winter’s day

It’s 2 January and we’re being treated to an amazing shadow-and-light show – with clear air, blue sky and a heartwarming winter sun. Simply stunning. 

This is one of those overall effect shots, I think. My immediate reaction is ‘wow’ to the colours, light and shade. There’s no obvious focal point other than perhaps the central tree with the shaded lines leading me in and that lovely branch cutting across it. 

But anyway, ‘wow’.
