Taking a break

A glorious day to be out in the forest. 

We hadn’t gotten far on our bikes before this little one was ready for a pit-stop snack. She loves to clamber on the logs – although they can be dangerous so you have to check them.  

I wandered around taking a few snaps. People were out walking. I captured a couple taking a leisurely stroll but mostly I was focused on the lovely patterns of light and shadow created by the winter sun. 

I love the contrasts in this scene. Just one of many breathtaking moments in this beautiful place.
