A space to breathe in the early morning

An old oak tree is silhouetted against a rising sun and blue sky in an open patch of ground in the New Forest, where puddles reveal recent rains.

Well, not a bad shot of this lovely early morning scene. It was the sunlight in the puddle that made me brake and get off my bike. 

Look at that lovely glow on the horizon contrasted by the deeper blue of a sky that’s just waking up to the day. 

In a few moments I would be back on my bike again, turning right and following a circular track flanked by trees on both sides all the way round. But for now I just breathed and enjoyed this open space.
