The medusa effect

A old oak tree stands bare in winter, revealing its medusa-like branches.

Not the most attractive tree – or shot! I’ve ridden past it many times without a second thought. But today those wiggly branches really caught my eye.

They’re really wiggly! Medusa-like.

Must be something in its DNA? It’s fascinating. And really quite ugly. Yet I could stare at it for ages.

I’d better be careful.
