A bonfire of light

It’s almost 6 pm and I’m cycling home through the forest. The sun is almost ready to call it a day – just another hour or so and its work here is done.

Riding along, I observe nature bask in the glow and sense its contentment. Here and there I appreciate golden brown patches painted on the forest floor.

A bonfire of light is cast between two trees, where falling branches appear caught in the blaze.

I have to stop and capture it.
