Light at the end of the tunnel
The little bit of light at the end of the tunnel adds something here, I think. I’ve taken similar shots from this spot where the colours all blend together and lack contrast.
The same goes for those streaks of sunlight along the path. How boring would it be without them?
What a stunning moment in late October to capture. See how the leaves were turning yellow and orange. It’s always good to be out at this time of year, whatever the weather.

I love those branches reaching across the middle of the frame, along with the leaning posture of the tree. So much of photographing trees speaks to me of reaching for something beyond ourselves – and the twists and turns that journey takes us on. Some branches have a lovely flow about them whereas for others the path has been more difficult.
